Sweet, spiced apples meet juicy boysenberries with a splash of apple cider for extra zing, all tucked under a golden, buttery crumble. Warm, cosy, and best served with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or a drizzle of custard.
Ingredients
2 cans apple slices
200ml apple cider
2 teaspoons cornflour
1 teaspoon Ginger Spice
1 can boysenberries (or 1 cup frozen blueberries)
1 bag That’s How the Cookie Crumbles
100g butter, melted
Directions
Preheat oven to 180C fan bake.
Pour sliced apples into a shallow casserole dish.
In a small bowl combine cider, cornflour and ginger spicePour over apples.
Drain the excess juice off the boysenberries and dot the berries on top of the apples.
Mix the crumble mix with the melted butter and crumble it over the apples in an even layer.
Bake for 30 minutes, serve with custard or ice cream.
