Banoffee Trifle is layers of indulgence, naughty and nice all at once. Creamy, caramel-rich, and studded with banana, it’s the kind of dessert that teases your taste buds and makes you linger over every spoonful.
Ingredients
-
½ cup marscapone
-
½ cup pre-made custard
-
1 banana, sliced
-
½ sponge cake, sliced horizontally
-
2 ½ tablespoon Sugar Daddy
-
Milk chocolate, to garnish
Directions
Place the marscapone and custard in a mixing bowl and mix until well combined.
Spread the Sugar Daddy over the two halves of the sponge cake and cut into 2cm cubes.
Take two small dessert bowls or pretty glasses and spoon in a couple of spoonfuls of the custard/marscapone mix.
Add ¼ of the sponge cake into each glass and push into the custard.
Top with another spoonful of the custard and layer on ½ of the sliced banana into each glass, reserving four pieces for garnish.
Add another layer of the sponge and top with the custard. Garnish with the remaining banana, a dollop of Sugar Daddy and shaved/grated chocolate.
Place in the fridge for an hour (if you can wait!) then serve.
