versatile dish. A must try!

Slow Cooked Garlic & Herb Lamb

Ingredients

  • 1 boneless lamb shoulder or leg
  • 5-6 cloves garlic (or more )
  • 1 onion
  • 1 sprig fresh rosemary (optional)
  • 2 cup lamb or beef stock
  • 2 tbsp Italian Stallion

  • 1 heaped tsp Flaky Man Grind

Directions

  1. For slow cooker instructions, see below.
  2. For an oven version, brown lamb in a small drizzle of oil in a large cast iron casserole
  3. Sprinkle generously with Italian Stallion and Man Grind

  4. Add garlic and sliced onion

  5. Add stock and fresh rosemary
  6. Bake, covered in a preheat oven at 170C for 3 hours (depending on the size of the lamb you may need slightly longer)
  7. Remove from oven, the lamb should be tender and ready to pull
  8. Carefully lift the lamb out and pull with two forks
  9. You can either reduce the liquid or or thicken with 1 to 2 tsp of cornflour dissolved in water, or you can leave the sauce thin
  10. Return the pulled lamb to the gravy.
  11. This lamb can be used in gozeleme, wraps, as a base for a Shepards pie or serve on a bed of mash or polenta.
