Messy, cheesy, and absolutely loaded. Crispy-edged mince, melted cheese, and Smash Sesh all packed into a toasted tiger loaf for a proper, no-holding-back sandwich.
Ingredients
-
1–2 tiger loaves (or baguettes)
-
2 tbsp butter
-
250g mince
-
1 tbsp Blow My Coals
-
2 slices plastic cheese
-
1–2 tbsp Smash Sesh
-
1 cup iceberg lettuce, shredded
-
¼ white onion, finely diced
Directions
Heat a cast iron skillet over medium-high heat and melt the butter.
Slice the loaf in half lengthways, without cutting all the way through, so it opens like a book. Place it in the pan, cut side down, and toast until lightly golden. Remove and set aside.
In the same pan, press the mince into a thin, even layer. Cook for a few minutes without moving it so it can crisp up and turn a deep brown, cooking off most of the moisture.
Sprinkle over the Blow My Coals, then flip the mince and cook through.
When the mince is nearly done, place the cheese slices on top. Use a metal spatula to chop and mix the cheese into the mince until melted and combined.
Spread Smash Sesh over the toasted bread, then pile on the mince mixture. Top with shredded lettuce, diced onion, and another drizzle of Smash Sesh.
Serve warm with a side of hot fries and plenty of napkins on hand.
