A twist on traditional golden syrup dumplings, spiced with bakers blend and baked in the oven! A delicious winter dessert 
 
                      Ingredients
- 
1½ cup flour 
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 2 tbsp sugar
- 1 egg
- 
            
Bakers Blend 
- 
50g cold butter 
- ⅓ cup Milk
Sauce
- 
1 ¼ cup of golden syrup 
- 2 tbsp butter
- ¼ cup brown sugar
- 2 cups boiling water
- 
            
lots of Bakers Blend 
Directions
- Preheat oven to 180C fan bake.
- Grate butter and rub into flour, sugar, bakers blend and baking powder. 
- Add egg and milk and mix to form a dough, if dough too dry add additional tablespoon of milk. 
- Divide dough into 10 golf ball sized balls. 
- Add boiling water, golden syrup butter and bakers blend to a kitco standard casserole or deep baking dish. Mix to combine. 
- Add the dumplings. Gently roll the dumplings in the syrupy water to coat them. 
- Place in the oven uncovered and bake for 25-30 minutes or until the dumplings have risen and are cooked through. 
- Serve with ice cream or cream.
