Hot Dogs Animal Style

Inspired by the legendary animal-style fries, this hot dog topped with rich burger sauce and crispy fried onions is the ultimate flavour combo.
Ingredients
- 6 hot dog buns
- 6 sausages or frankfurters
- Schmack Burger Sauce
- 1 cup grated cheese
- 1 large onion
- 2 tbsp butter
- 2 tsp Blow My Coals
- Pickles to garnish
Directions
Cook your preferred sausage/hot dog, pan fry sausage or simmer a frankfurter.
While the sausages are cooking very finely dice the onion and add to a small fry pan with the butter and sauté the onions for 6-7 minutes over a medium heat until lightly golden and starting to caramelise.
Remove onions from the heat and stir in the Blow My Coals. Set aside.
Cut the hot dog buns down the center and pop in the microwave for 30-45 seconds to steam.
Sprinkle a little grated cheese down the center of each steamed hot dog bun followed by a sausage.
Too each hot dog with a generous dollop of burger sauce followed by a spoonful of the onion mixture and add a couple of pickles to garnish.
