A must have on kumara fries
I thought the people complaining that this is too salty were just putting way too much on, but the problem is, this mix is formulated in such a way that it’s impossible to tell how much is the right amount: there’s too much salt and not enough “everything else”, so when it looks like you’ve got enough seasoning, it’s way, way too salty! It doesn’t taste bad (once you
figure out to use it only till everything looks half seasoned), but it tastes nothing like KFC, despite the name. The Colonel will be relieved. More frustratingly than anything, the resealable bag that this comes in just doesn’t re-seal at all. I spent five minutes trying to seal it and it just … wouldn’t. The seal is covered in the seasoning which contains oil, so I suspect that is why it doesn’t seal. The problem is, you can’t even prepare for this by spooning it out of the packet, because it comes with seasoning all over the seal, either from the filling process or because of shipping. It’s probably why the big manufacturers use glass or hard plastic jars rather than this garbage. Overall, a pretty poor product, and a tainted first experience with this brand.
Great product. Going in a Christmas present
